What began as a single initiative has evolved into a robust international collaboration, building pathways in Nursing, Physiotherapy, and Biomedical Sciences.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was attended by senior representatives from both institutions. From IIHS:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dr. Kithsiri Edirisinghe \u2013 CEO &amp; Co-Founder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Renuka Jayatissa \u2013 Vice Chancellor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Amal Harsha De Silva \u2013 Pro-Vice-Chancellor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ms. Minnell Vander Poorten \u2013 Director, GHC Global Education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>From Metropolia University of Applied Sciences:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ms. Aija Ahokas \u2013 Education Manager<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ms. Kirsi Koivukangas \u2013 Head of Nursing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr. Jari Soini \u2013 Head of Physiotherapy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Jouni Rissanen \u2013 Head of Biomedical Sciences<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the celebrations, both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to expanding opportunities for Sri Lankan students. From 2026, the existing 3+1 transfer pathways in Nursing and Physiotherapy will be extended to include Medical Laboratory Sciences, offering students broader access to European education and healthcare careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking at the event, Dr. Kithsiri Edirisinghe, CEO &amp; Co-Founder of IIHS, said: \u201cThis partnership has transformed lives by enabling Sri Lankan students to access world-class education and careers in Europe.
