Public-Private Collaboration Strengthened: APHNH Meets Minister of Health

Colombo, Sri Lanka – The Association of Private Hospitals & Nursing Homes of Sri Lanka (APHNH) has issued a media statement following a productive meeting with the Hon. Minister of Health, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, aimed at strengthening collaboration between the public and private healthcare sectors.

According to APHNH, the association presented a detailed proposal outlining key challenges within the private healthcare industry and offering strategic recommendations to enhance service delivery.

In response, Minister Jayatissa acknowledged the significant role played by private hospitals in Sri Lanka’s healthcare system. He stressed the importance of accurate patient care data from the private sector to support national health planning and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to fostering stronger partnerships.

APHNH further assured its full cooperation with the Ministry of Health to advance joint initiatives focused on improving healthcare delivery, enhancing patient outcomes, and contributing more effectively to national healthcare development.
